Money made by first round draftees that made the business decision in recent years to leave Louisiana and go to Alabama... $0

Money made by first rounder Louisiana players that decided to stay home and represent their state and LSU... $88,231,724

Going back to 2011.

Business decision my arse. This number should be brought up to every La player considering going over to the dark side.

ETA: this only includes rookie contracts. The number is yuge when considering their second contract.

I'm sorry but unless you compare this to what they make when they don't stay home, you haven't actually made any point.

Maybe, but you are missing the point.

If their college careers went the exact same way then sure probably.

But I think that is kinda the point.

Whether you go to Bama or LSU, your draft position isn't likely to be affected. Both are programs that will allow you to showcase your skills and get better than most coaching. The "business decision" line has proven to be bullshite.

No better example of this than Cam Robinson. Kid started every game of his college career at Bama. Still wasn't a 1st rounder.

The point is that many of the Louisiana kids that commit to Bama say that it is a "business decision," meaning that Bama somehow will improve their NFL draft status. Yet, this does not appear to be the case.

No no no no. It a business decision because they make NFL first round money while in college and free steroids.
