just about any catching reciever will not be higher round for us given the crappy qb situation in the past 4 years.

They are the draft experts. I heard it or read it a year or so ago. He was rated as one of the highest rated players on the team at that time. Great things were expected of him last year. Just didn't happen. This year is his money year and for one reason or another. He has slid down the Tigers depth chart and become a non factor. This is not typical for a LES Miles senior. Les has been accused in the past of playing seniors over more talented underclassmen to let them showcase their skills. Deangelo is an exception. It is not like the young man doesn't have talent. Without a decent passing game, these guys are going to slide down the draft. Hopefully he will explode in the combines.

I wish he could have seen more playing time, natural ability. Benefited from Lee in the line up, I would like to see him at the next level.

He did not slide down the depth chart. His success depends on which QB is in, and the different packages that each QB runs.

not really. his production has been just as sporadic with either QB in. I just don't think we've ever really made a consistent effort to make him a weapon. or really made much of an effort to consistently involve the TEs, which I think has been a mistake.

Jimmy Graham played 1 year of college ball and was drafted.

Graham: 17 rec. 213 yds. 5 tds

Peterson: 17 rec 173 yds. 1 td

LSU doesn't use Peterson as much in the RZ. Other than tds, the stats are pretty similar. I used this to illustrate that stats are not the only thing that gets a guy drafted.Another example, Matt Cassel never started a game in college.

Yes.

DP averaged over twice as many yards before the Bama game, when JJ started seeing real playing time, as he did after.

So did every other receiver. But that is beside the point.
