Yeah, let's make a habit of cutting ties with redshirt freshmen 5 stars...

It is certainly too soon to give up on the guy. It is just a drag to see him fall far behind guys in his class when he was a 5 star. He would be in the rotation if he was making progress. That is all.

if you watched the game

I watched the game multiple times. It was really his body language that caught my attention. My intent is not to bash the kid. We all anxiously awaited his commitment and celebrated his addition to the team. I am just hoping that the guy nuts up and comes around. With the young depth at the position and the guys coming in, he will have to make his move soon. Like I said before, Come on CD!

Last year I saw him with his thumb to his mouth playing air trumpet along with the band, during the game.

Twice.

He really seems disinterested in the game.

I told everyone about Davenport coming out of high school. One of the most overrated players ever. Took off over half the plays in high school and was never on a good team. Work ethic is horrible and was very arrogant and cocky. Hate to say I told you so but he's not a big time player, he had NSU written all over him.

I really hopes he comes around to being a solid productive player

He plays too high, but unlike you I couldn't pretend to read his mind. I imagine he felt a little a shame he wasn't playing and hopefully that uncomfortable feeling will make him more determined, but nevertheless he has plenty of time to develop.

I never claimed to be a mind reader. I made an observation based on body language.
