So we all saw Jarrett Lee bring the tigers to the 2011 national championship game to be replaced by Jordan Jefferson. Is that going to happen again with Etilng and Harris. I feel as though we've found the only hope in our offense with Etling.

So you found hope in 6 completions?

I get it that the offense took a step forward in the second quarter but I'm very skeptical. Etling couldn't win the job at Purdue and performed below average in the second half against JSU! I hate to be pessimistic but Cam/Les have no clue what they're doing and I don't see it starting now.

Absolutely. Pocket awareness, balls that were in the same zip codes as receivers, progressions, etc

He's a second string quarterback from Purdue that's never played a live down of SEC football..I prefer 6 completions and 3 straight scoring drives a whole lot better than 2 wasted possessions from Harris.

Lee did NOT bring LSU to the championship. He surrendered all of that when he assumed the fetal position at Bryant Denny.

If it wasn't for JJ we would not have made it to that game, or WE would have been the one with the rematch.

As much as I've grown tired of Harris' poor play, Etling hasn't earned the starting job. His play vs JSU has been overhyped (6-14 100 yards) I see Les playing both QB unless one comes in and keeps driving us downfield and getting points.

Yes. Many of us did. And yes... that's some sad sack shite there.

Fear not, all of us that did/are find hope in that know the Miles effect will dash all of that. So while you might find our hope just as sad, all be right because sooner or later we'll be right back here again. And again. And again.

You're looking for a reason to be hopeful. Etling went 16-12 td/int in the Big 10 and he was in the division with Nebraska

Hate to break it to ya but the SEC is not what it used to be, he will be fine. The SEC has Bama and a bunch of Texas like schools

So he can't get better? He should have completed at least 10 passes, led 3 straight scoring drives, and looked light years ahead of Harris

Etling was solid in the second half even though he didn't register completions. He had a couple of fine runs, even one for a TD, one long completion was nullified by a penalty, and a couple other passes were dropped by the receivers. The one bad pass was intercepted.
