Excellent discussion on defending the jet. Canada's motion schemes are going to open up a lot of things for Etling

Yep and the play he says he likes best is basically a bend but don't break defense so what he's saying is instead of trying to put a good match up on that WR instead just move your best LB there, the WR may get open but he likely won't get far with the safety help coming.

Basically the offense even if you play it safe will move the ball no matter how you defend it so make it work for the yardage. Question is how many teams will have the athletes to do this? Not many IMO most will have to put an equal athlete on that WR to prevent the big play. He also has many versions of this not just with WRs but with TEs, RBs, and FBs to get speed, size, power, agility, and blocking advantages against our opponents.

That's why I'm so pumped about this offense compared to the previous. It moves the parts around to gain the advantage instead of leaving it to the athletes to create their own advantages through talent alone. This puts so much more pressure on a defense and will have to improve our points scored at the end of the day.

It may also create more mistakes within the offense so they will have to work into the advanced stuff throughout the season. But I think even keeping it simple for the first few games will be more advanced then anything our opponents have seen from us in the past.

Ensminger opened up the offense way more for Etling. I can't even begin to imagine how much greater the opportunity is now for Danny in Canada's offense!

What's the exploit of the push defense of the WR motion? Slip Guice out the backside on a swing pass opposite the motion and with a good block by the wr, it's him vs the safety? Exploit the zone coverage on the motion side?

Even as a most die hard Miles supporter, I have been screaming to see this for years.

Let's get these guys in space and keep the defense on their heels.

Can't wait to see how Canada operates this offense.

Good question. How disciplined will the offense be in their pre-snap shifts?

That and how long can this line protect on these long to develop play-action passes. Other than those issues, we'll be fine. No question this is better for Danny.
