If this Tiger Team can perform around Etling like the 2009 Tide, we win big! If we play like a young, inexperienced Bama 2010, we finish with 3 losses!
Feeling like this team might be more of the former and we go 12-0 with Georgia in Sec title game!!!

I didn't mean McElroy the radio/tv personality.
Clearly his football talent wasn't great, but his team was. AJ McCarron was a huge upgrade, as I think Myles will be for LSU in the future.
My point is, we will go as far as the team around Etling takes us!

so weird, I was thinking this yesterday. They are very similar in talent. Both heady qbs. This gives me hope though. That Bama team won a championship with Mcelroy.

Maybe they share some traits but 1main difference is McElroy had a HOF HC as his leader

We might want to wait until we actually play someone of significance before jumping to those types of conclusions, but I guess we can always hope.

Etling could easily have the same NFL "success" as McElroy.
