The game is an 8 p.m. kick-off and that is good and bad. The good news is that Tiger fans will have plenty of time to tailgate and should be fired-up for the game. The late start will also give Tiger fans a chance to watch the Alabama-Arkansas, South Carolina-Auburn, and Kentucky-Florida games. The bad news is that I am afraid that many Tiger fans will leave early and some watching at home on TV might turn the game off and go to bed before it's over.

I can't understand FANS that would quit watching early. We only get 12 to 14 LSU football games a year, and these are what FANS live for. This might seem stupid, but I'm 41 and I'm so excited for LSU to be undefeated, climbing the rankings, playing defense like they are, and playing a nationally ranked team on national television that I have a hard time going to sleep at night due to thinking about the game.

Maybe he meant to call these people "casual observers" instead of fans. Or maybe he was alluding to the possibility that LSU might be down by a large margin. But if LSU is playing lights out or is in a tight game, who's turning this shite off? If we pull out a squeaker or blow the billies out, I'll watch the game again 2 or 3 times. Am I sick?

I don't blame Dandy for thinking this after the way our fans have acted the last couple of years. They are completely spoiled and leave football games in the 3rd quarter if our opponent gets a decent lead instead of believing in our team and supporting them to the end. I wish we could get back to the old days when our fans appreciated every win and just loved LSU football and supported our team instead of giving up on them as soon as things get tough.

That makes no sense. Our normal start time is 7pm. It's an hour later. It ain't that late.

Maybe "Go to bed early" is just code for "pass out early".

Maybe he just thinks it'll be an unwatchable blowout, like Miami vs. Pitt the other night. I love college football, but that was turrible.

Also, that was the second Pitt game which nearly put me to sleep, the other being their loss to Oregon State in the Sun Bowl a few years ago.
