Your kidding right? So the offer was just made up and the convo was just two friends talking and had nothing to do with a raise? Or was a friend helping anther friend get leverage for an undeserving raise?

Friend from college runs a hospital in another state. Called me up the other day asking about some good surgeons I might know to fill the Chief of Surgery spot at his place. We got to talking and I gave hime some names. Before he hung up he offered me the job. Big raise and everything.
I told him I was flattered but I like surgery position I have and was due to get a raise anyway.
Next thing I know its all over the papers...
Dan Patrick needs shite to talk about on his show so he's acting a fool. A show he "leveraged" his popularity with ESPN and NBC to create. A popular word around here.
I'm sure he knows less about this situation than all of the rantards on here.

All just pur coincedence. Friends lay out terms of contracts to friends that have no interest all the time. So the AD, knowing he was talking to someone not interested in the job, just throws out 5 yr 27+ million dollars on the table? Yeh ok.
Why do you choose to believe LSU is being completely forthcoming? Pretty sure Alleva and Miles and PR guy met to discuss what should and should not be said during the press conference.
