Anyone who coaches ole miss and Tennessee, and recruits against LSU.... simply does not bleed P&G
exactly. Coaches are mercenaries. They go (correctly so) to wherever the best opportunity is. Love of a state and a particular school certainly can play a part, but it isn't the overriding factor. And anyone who thinks otherwise is simply naive.

Come on Les,get coach O a contract that he can sign.I'm tired of seeing all these other schools trying to sign.We need to quit chasing down QB's.O is a lot more important to LSU WE NEED HIM/////

Sources at LSU confirm a report from FootballScoop.com on Thursday that Bulldogs coach Dan Mullen is hoping Orgeron will be his new coordinator.
Mullen is offering a potential contract worth about $900,000 a year, two sources confirmed to The Advocate.
Orgeron makes $450,000 a year and is beginning the second year of a two-year contract with the Tigers. Mississippi State is searching for a new coordinator after Manny Diaz left for Miami. Diaz made $575,000 last year at State.
Mullen interviewed Orgeron for the job last year before the coach joined the Tigers as defensive line coach. FootballScoop.com reported that Orgeron turned down an offer from State last year.

But multiple posters swear that the only way he'd leave LSU is to be the head coach at a power program, so obviously he's going to turn Mullen down...

Pay him $901,000 to stay. Worth it to keep this class together and coach with Aranda next year with all these players coming back.

I don't bash anyone for doing this. In any profession really.

I responded to redtiger, he and the Miles haters like to bring up how big of a piece of shite Miles really is because he leveraged LSU for more money, twice.
But then they say, no one would hire him.

Give Coach O a raise so that he stays. He is worth it.

Mullen needs to hire Peveto and Moffit, then LSU will be set to compete for championships
Posted on 1/7/16 at 4:42 pm to PierreTigre7
Probably just a tactic to get a raise BUT , you better not screw this up,TOO Aleva !!!!

I'm just not buying it. They've paid their last DCs around 600k. Geoff Collins was paid 625k. Manny Diaz had a 3 year 1.8 million dollar deal. They both left. So they're offering Orgeron 900k but wouldn't fight to keep those guys?

When Moffit retires we should just hire Arden Key's dad

One of eds best friends on 247 said chill Ed isn't going anywhere and I have no reason not to believe him he has been an insider on the 247 board for over a year and doesn't post false info. He actually started posting info when Ed O was hired and a lot of people actually think he is Ed O but he claims he and Coach are good friends.

Luckily we have 18,000,000 sitting around to match any offer.

Tub does have very solid info though.

He is a very credible poster on 247. He aid he and coach are neighbors and he has backed this up with multiple pictures of him and coach.

Couldn't agree more. The guy tends to attract NCAA recruiting investigations.
