Damn sad statistics....

Lets not holler and yell about anything related to the defense this year. We should all just e-mail Les and Joe with these stats. I think they speak for themselves

These don't seem that far off until you realize that 2007's numbers included the SECCG and the MNC. That is sad, and unfortunately it will probably be worse after The Eat Mor Chikn bowl. Oh yeah and by the way Troy's defense ranked higher than ours....

Yeah but the defense was on the field for almost 150 more plays and still gave up 4 fewer TD's.

Read the whole post, the defense was on the field for at this point 2 extra games, which amounted to about 150 extra plays and gave up 4 less touchdowns, while giving up almost a yard less per play.
What will really rattle your noodle is when you remember that the supposedly the better competition is in the SECCG and the MNC....

Thats not true, sure it depends on the win, but there are defintely bowl bonuses for coaches. Matter of fact the BCS bowl bonus (obviously higher) was $30-40K for position coaches back in 2006, I remember reading an article about it. Now those bonuses may be contingent on winning the bowl game, but there are defintely bowl bonuses for assistant coaches.
