I don't comment a lot on this board, but I was a student trainer there in the 80's and my biggest takeaway re Coach Brown was his activities when we travelled. He always filled road trips with tons of tours, etc. He always scheduled holiday trips to play in Wash DC, Hawaii, etc because he told me one time that for most of his players, they wouldn't have a chance to experience it again. Just a bit of a picture of his thought process when he was a coach. It's much more than x' and o's when you're a coach. My two cents, now carry on....

You to might be lucky to age till 85 if the Lord has a calling for you otherwise you are just sucking air to do nothing.

Touche!!! I look at Biden AKA Brandon on the TV and I'm instantly reminded of the kid on the porch with a banjo in "Deliverance" with the blank look and squinty, dead eyes.

At least that kid could pick the hell out of a banjo.

Agreed, but some would have been nice!

Coach Dale Brown is a LSU legend and he put some unbelievable talent on the floor

As a Buckeye I must say Dale Brown was one of my first sports heroes - my thoughts

1. The 81 team was a great great team - very under appreciated

2. The ‘79 uniforms are the greatest in college basketball history - better than UNC and UCLA by 1000 miles - why don’t those come back as throwbacks

He didn't look strong but he is 86. He prob needs to start exercising more imo to keep him younger.

I so wished 'DICK' Vitale would have been in attendance ... the "PMAC" would have been on fire!

Dale Brown has lived an awesome life. The players that he coached. The important people he has met in his lifetime is absurd. The man has traveled all over the world. He met mother Theresa and he met Bigfoot. He has given so much encouragement to thousands of regular folks.

Dale will b missed when his day comes. I love his stories. I love him dearly.

Coach awesome! I just wish he would have won a championship or two with all that great talent he had come through there in his time. The Rudy Macklin and Chris Jackson teams.

And left it in ruins. There is a lot to be admired about Dale Brown, but he left the program as he found it.

Dale Brown put basketball on the map in the state of Louisiana. Before him all we had had was Pistol Pete and his traveling show. Love him or hate him, you've got to give the man credit for everything he's done
