Dabo says Clemson could have gone to the Saints facility yesterday as well, but they elected to use the ballroom at the Hilton. So it wasn’t the vast conspiracy everyone thought.

After all that bitching and moaning from their fans

Said it would have required them to mess with their "Thursday" schedule.

He said it was his decision.

As I said in the press conference thread, good for him to slap that down.

I couldn't figure out why they were bitching. It's not like the teams could practice there at the same time. And I'm sure LSU wasn't practicing from 6am to 12am.

These hotel ballroom walkthroughs are not really all that uncommon for bowl/neutral site type games. It was weird to see people acting like it was so oddly unprecedented. Seems like I've seen it a lot.

I think it was the fact the LSU was using the Saint’s facility while Clemson was using a hotel ballroom. Either way it’s not going to change the outcome Monday.

I remember reading an article about LSU turning one into a weight room and indoor facility. Maybe for the bowl last year

I would prefer the privacy of the ball room rather than the saints facility if i were dabo, too.

Additionally, Its not exactly a cabin in siberia, but it also ties into the rocky 4 theme he is trying to peddle.

I would have picked the ballroom for fear of spying at the Saints facility.

And the bitching and moaning from our fans about Dabo - goes both ways.

LSU didn’t do it. It was done by the Peach Bowl a couple weeks ago because they were going to be there for a week. They did it for both teams.

When the Saints are on the road, they use hotel ballrooms/convention-rooms all the time.

The rooms are expandable & spacious.

I'm not sure why Clempson fans are bitching about this.

And they chose to use the ballroom instead of the Saint's facility. Not sure if you read the OP.

Dabo can continue to play this Rocky IV theme all he wants. Monday night will not be a Hollywood movie set. When LSU starts landing punches to the side of Clemson’s head they’re going down.

Was coming here to post exactly that. Actually took me by surprise and Dabo deserves credit for the way he handled that. The reporter - obviously a Clemson homer - who asked him the question made a sarcastic comment to the effect of how they felt about practicing in the Hilton Ballroom while LSU got to practice in the “palatial” Saints facility. Dabo actually called him out saying it was amazing how these narratives get created. Totally his choice and made sense to not have to alter their schedule.

Everyone knew this.

The fact that Clemson fans melted just shows you what little hypersensitive bitches they are
