I think he has to go at least 4-1 down the stretch to be seriously considered, just my opinion.

If he beats Bama, I'm all for him. That's what we're looking for in a coach

You don't fire an interim head coach. You either retain him permanently or hire another permanent head coach.

Lets hope he leaves LSU with a tough decision. That would mean we are very competitive in this devil's schedule we have upcoming.

There's no way he'll stay on if he's not promoted to HC unless he absolutely shits the bed the rest of this season.

Well hopefully we dont have to fire him and he stays on staff.....but long term I just think there are better options out there. I think coach O's main success this year will be because of the circumstances of the season. It has instilled a positive energy and given these players something to play for when they had previously looked deflated and done...but once this season is done and over I dont know if the same energy, focus, and mentality will carry over into future seasons and be the norm or if its just this team rallying together through this adversity.

If he continues to do what he is doing, I would be fine with him, Aranda, and the right OC. Orgeron is one of the best recruiters in the nation.

Well, it could turn out like Ohio State. Luke Finkel (sp) was the "interim coach" for a year when Tressman (sp) was fired before the season. When CUM was hired, he retained Finkel as DC. I know Aranda is DC but I expect him to move on after this year due to Herman's hire elsewhere. Possibly, the "elsewhere" is LSU!! Maybe something could be worked out. Who knows...

Slow down fella, we have beaten 2 bad teams, just let the season play out before anointing him the next coach.

I'm not saying he is not the right guy, but I've got to see a whole lot more before making that decision.

O won't be fired. He may leave but won't be fired. LSU would be stupid to do that
