I am planning my first trip to Omaha, but I don't have tickets for the Saturday night game. For those who have been, would it be better to go ahead and buy general admission tickets or do you think there will be tickets outside the stadium? Any advice will be much appreciated.

If you only need one or two tickets, I'd take a chance on buying tickets on the street outside the stadium prior to the game. If you've got a large group who wants to sit together, maybe not....

I went in 2015 and didn't have tickets in advance to the first LSU game so I did just what I suggested above and bought two reserved seating tickets about even with third base and 14 rows up from the field at $10 over face value about 30 minutes before the game started.

Just keep in mind that Omaha has a weird rule (at least they did in 2015) that the street ticket sellers must be across the street from the stadium to sell tickets. They can't operate on the sidewalks on the street side surrounding the stadium.

Many locals have tickets they will give up. I used Craigslist last time LSU won. There were plenty of options for 3 seats together.

I'm leaving Dallas Saturday morning and expect to get to Omaha about 1-2 hours before the game. Will that give me enough time to get parked and find tickets before the game or should I secure tickets before I leave?

Also, if I buy a GA book will I be ok getting in line an hour before game time?

anyone else's flash seats say no tickets available for the CWS games? Same thing happened to me last year after using it the year before.

I bought on vivid seats and they were delivered through flash seats.

Most likely, yes. Bring sufficient cash to pay a premium for LSU/Fla State reserved seating tickets to the street sellers. You may get lucky and get tickets for near face value but be prepared to not be lucky, just in case. I always make a small sign on poster board (10" by 12") and hold it up. I'll have the LSU logo along with the Nebraska logo side-by-side and "We need tickets to see the Tigers play!" The locals like that. I've had tickets given to me when I've held up my sign.

If you're not in the GA line for an LSU game at least 2 hours prior to game time, there is a good chance you won't get in. The gate keepers only allow so many to go through the GA gates (I think it's based on the fire marshal's limit) and once that limit is reached, the rest of the people in the line don't get in.

They sell more GA ticket books than they have GA seats because they assume some GA ticket holders won't go to some games.

But LSU games are always, and I mean ALWAYS, the best attended games. Not only do LSU fans take the stadium over but the local Nebraska people really support LSU, mainly because half of them have been fed in the parking lots around the stadium by LSU tailgaters prior to the game.

The Saturday night game is going to be packed unless there is iffy weather prior to the game.
