Taking my 12 yr old son up Sunday. We should roll in around 5pm. We will watch both games Monday and then head back home Tuesday morning. Need Recs for the little down time we'll have.

Henry Dorley zoo and aquarium is pretty awesome. Especially for kids. If you have more than an hour or two I would def check that out.

Also, make sure to stop by the site of old Rosenblatt by the zoo. Foul poles remain, as well as a small baseball field with the old multi-colored seats from the stadium. Kids love it!
Also, there are bike rental places all over downtown. Rent a bike and you can ride through Heartland of America Park and the bridge over the Missouri River (always seen in background of CWS games).

Definitely agree with the suggestion of visiting the zoo. Also try the slides at Gene Lehay Mall downtown. Sounds lame, but a unique and free local attraction. It's close to the Old Market, so stop by Ted and Wally's for ice cream as well.
