I was calling to set up service with Dish Network so I could get CST for the baseball games, but the operator said they did not carry it. I thought I remember seeing on here that CST was offered on Dish locally. I am in Jefferson Parish, and thought it was included in the regional sports networks offered, but wanted to verify.
Anybody here have Dish in the NOLA area and know for sure? What channel as well?
TIA

I know it's definitely not on DirecTV. LSU needs a new contract

I know what CST stands for, but rather not get Cox cable.
I have DirecTV, but want to be able to watch the games on TV at home

ETA: Yea, I had been waiting hoping to find out LSU was moving over to the new Fox Sports New Orleans. Tired of waiting, and want to watch LSU on TV in my own home. My couch is more comfortable than my computer chair

x2

Im patient and figure out other ways to watch, but Dish and DirecTV have over 44 million subscribers...cant just leave them on blackout.

Don't know about Nola but here in BR CST new Orleans is available on Dish regional sports package. channel 412-11.

CST is what sold me on dish instead of direct tv.

Yea, just got off the phone with them again, after I saw online CST listed in local channels offered, and the operator this time said 100% I would get it.
When I then called DirecTV to postpone cancellation till Monday, I told them the channel I wanted and the reason for cancelling. Then said there were thousands of other LSU fans in just SE LA that wanted that channel too. Not that I expect that to do any good.
Thanks for the help

Got to love dumbasses that don't even know their own product. Direct tv is missing a big market by not carrying CST.

On mine i have to go to 412 and it says regional sports coverage. Then push select and it opens up with 2 CST channels and 2 FSSW channels

I love Dish. Had DirecTV when I was still living with my parents and Dish performs much better. The slightest cloud would interupt direc but we haven't had any interuptions with Dish for almost a tear

And the funny part was the first guy I talked to even went to his supervisor, and he said they were still negotiating with CST. Maybe that means Dish is trying to negotiate to offer CST nationally.

CST is 421 on Dish in Metairie. The baseball games along with most other programming will be in standard definition.

I read a while back that cst was getting out of broadcasting sports, the hornets are on fox and I figure when the saints contract is up they will go to fox in nola for preseason.

That was why I was holding out, but Fox Sports-SW(NO) is offered included with Dish without paying for the sports pack like DirecTV, so I will still be covered.
I may still get GZ(12.95 monthly, just checked) so I can watch replays of the baseball games that I miss and aren't on TV(since I work nights). Dish and GZ would still be cheaper than DirecTV too.
