To answer that question from Catman, it's because our fanbase is predominantly basketball based, just as I stated earlier. I'd be a fool to sit here and say we have more football fans than you guys. However, combined with all the sports, it's not even a comparison. UNC is basically a brand, and that's thanks to Michael Jordan.

Are you guys really having this hard a time with this?

I have said repeatedly that the UNC fans that live in Atlanta have predominately not bought tickets through the school, they hvae gotten them from other sources and the 15K "up for grabs" tickets that are better seats and held by local Atlanta companies and affiliates.
You keep referring to our allotment sales which this has nothing to do with. Im guessing we sold another ~10K tickets outside of what the Rams Club was given which will give us close to 35K fans in the GA Dome.

UNC Rams Club cities/regions by member volume

1) NC Triangle
2) Atlanta Metro
3) Charlotte Metro
4) NC Triad
5) New York City

Are you guys really trying to act like you know more about where our fans are based then I do?

Hopefully it is better than the LSU showing during the 07 SEC Championship game...Tenn fans were all over that building.
Even though Tenn has a 3 to 1 ration, we were still louder.

Well good, that just means more powder blue fans will be leaving early as they are getting the shite kicked out of them by the LSU Tigers. UNC is going to get a beatdown just like Virginia Tech did in 2007.

Well its what we had last time we were there and the fanbase is much more excited now than they were then. UNC has as a squadron of fans that are as diehard about football as any other schools. We just dont have as many.

Our first 40-50K fans are right there with the most passionate football fanbases (SEC powers, Texas/OU, Big 11 powers, etc..). Difference being those schools fans 50-100K are much more passionate than ours 50-100K are.

So yall are just selling so many tickets that your school sent tickets back.. Gotcha!

Not to mention that you believe that UNC will get most of those public tickets. And not say a UGA fan or a GTECH fan or FSU fan. Let alone LSU with its fan base being one of the largest in the country.

Lets also ignore the fact that you avg only 56k for a home game.

But you are going to bring 63% of your home attendance on the road for a non bowl game?

I know a bunch of LSU fans bought their tickets from the UNC website. So his numbers might be a little off.

why would LSU fans have bought tickets from the UNC website when they are still on sale through your own school?

Why would any Tiger fan do this? LSU didn't sell out their own alltoment of tickets, and there are plenty for sale on the ticket exchange.

I totally understand that some folks requested tickets and then had to change their plans for one reason or another (this happened to my parents). However, I don't get why so many people ordered tickets and are trying to unload them now. If they are taking a wait and see approach, then they shouldn't have bought tickets early.

I was thinking that LSU would have more (but not by much). However, there are far more LSU tix for sale in the LSU sections on Stb Hub than for UNC. Now, I am not so certain. It will be close.

funny how unc can bring 35K to atlanta (with marked up prices) but can't sell out a 4K ticket allotment to any road ACC game outside of the state of North Carolina.
They did public sales so visiting teams could sell out their small 60k seat stadium.
unc once photoshopped a picture of Kenan stadium to take out all of the red (nc state fans) and make it columbia blue because it was the only picture they had of a full stadium.
