Not sure how anyone can argue with this. LSU regularly makes the CWS while football hasn't done anything relevant since 2011 and basketball is anything but consistent.

Is that a joke? Ask anyone close to the program and every single one of them will say that he's the biggest piece of shite to ever be a part of LSU baseball.

Even if the team goes 0 for Omaha, making the CWS is still a good season. Still think LSU baseball has the best chance to win a Natty out of the major sports.

This is an ignorant statement. Tell me one thing LSU baseball has done in the post season since 09 to give you so much confidence.

What have the football or basketball teams done since 2009? Making it to Omaha on a regular basis at least gives LSU a chance to compete for the championship. Just need to get hot at the right time of year.

LSU football played in the National Championship Game in 2011.

LSU baseball has been the favorite in every single postseason game its played in since 2009 except for one (2010 loss to UCLA) and has zero wins in Omaha (also zero wins against teams that were good enough to host a regional).

I agree. It's not even close. And I like Mainieri.

Having said all of that, it's like saying he's the smartest kid in remedial school.

Making it to Omaha is equivalent to BCS in football (before this season) and Elite 8 in basketball. CPM continues to put good teams together, no way he is even close to the hot seat when we have make it to Omaha twice in the last 3 seasons and have been top 8 seeds 5 years running.
Expected "Statement of Lowered Expectations" and "Defense of Failure" from one of the resident MA Pump Boys.

Pumps say, everybody please leave Omnipotent LSU god Mainieri and players alone.

Losing in the CWS is perfectly fine and acceptable. Just "Getting There" is good enough. ...............
