Is CPM just tired and ready to retire, there seems to be no fire in the belly last few years. Does he ever get excited

How many baseball managers are really that excitable? Got to be even keel for such a long season.

I see him go out and argue over calls all the time. You can say what you want about his handling of his pitching staff but the dude is always into the game, argues all the times he should, huddles with his hitters before at bats to give direction and knows the rules of the park

People are just upset he doesn't get tossed like Smoke used to I guess.. I'm not the guy's biggest fan but it's tough to argue with his results. It's so much harder to win a NC now than it was in the 1990s.

Typical response for defending him.
Skip was a great pitching coach and excellent at getting his defense to match. He was able to adapt his style as times changed. He is the reason there it is difficult to win, but make no mistake he coached against some super teams in Witchita State and OSU and TAMU with all those MLB players in that program in '99.

What exactly does CPM bring? Manager? I don't think that's enough. Watch the MSU program in 2-3 years.
You have to have a coach that has a special talent and he doesn't.
Les 2.0. Given a pass because of a NC almost 8 years ago. We haven't been in contention AT ALL since then. That's the issue.
