It's just my opinion, but if everyone (and I mean everyone) would just wear a mask for two months the rate of infection would be so low that the season would go on as scheduled. There would be no problem reopening cities and states

Ah, to be so naive. I remember months ago when every bozo on social media was pleading "if you people would just stay inside for two weeks, then we would flatten the curve and be able to resume life! Do it for everyone else!" Well, here we are, 3 months later, curve flattened, and yet we STILL have to listen to the daily hyperbolic fearmongering (briefly interrupted to allow thousands to congregate in protests). NONE of which has even come close to meeting the doomsday predicted scenarios.

There are people interested in keeping this ridiculous overreaction going for as long a personally and politically expedient. And you think "if everyone just wears a mask for two weeks this would all end?"

It was supposed to end when we "flattened the curve" (notice you haven't seen those memes in a LONG time. Well, that happened....and here we are. With city leaders horrifically concerned about the "second wave"

I didn't say two weeks... I said two months.

I also said that if you do that you can resume your normal life and open everything up at the same time, and by that I mean open up and wear masks today. Where do you see that in those social media talking points?

Well.....please post a link to a news report that supports your "fact." Since YOU are certain YOU heard that, it should be easy for you to find one.

Yes, because you are.

According to who....you? Are you a scientist? Have you ever taken a course in statistics? I have. I also can easily read/see the bias in statistical reporting. If you know what to look for, it's very easy to see.

You know, it's almost as if some of you don't realize that there's ongoing research and we are learning more and more about this virus. For those that haven't been paying attention to that or seeing it distorted through the media...

(1) Most of the people that are having the worst outcomes have a vitamin D deficiency. So it's not a bad idea to start taking Vitamin D3 and C supplements.

(2) If you do get the virus, the early results of what is known as the "MATH+ Protocol" are reducing fatality rates to 1% amongst those hospitalized (assuming your health provider will let you do that). They hit you with a steroid and high doses of key vitamins.

(3) Wear a damn mask!

Yes, I am a scientist. I have a PhD, hence "Doc". I have done bayesian analysis of statistical data for research papers. But please, do tell me what you learned from your course in statistics.

This, And I was the first one to scream that they were not going to cancel football....but now I think it is more likely than not that the season will be cancelled.

There will be too many Karens screaming from the top of the rooftops. The stupid political pressure will sink the season.

For the record, in the US about 4000 people commit suicide every month. A 25% increase (1000) would be noteworthy, and yet that is insignificant compared to over 100,000 deaths from the virus.

I've said it for months - there won't be any football this fall.

Sorry, I want college football as much as anyone, but I've resigned myself to the fact it ain't happening.

Basketball might play, since it's a far less number of players and coaches involved, but even that is iffy.

Until we get a vaccine, no organization wants the risk (which is very low for non-elderly people).

Oh that's weird. So you want everyone else to prove to you that their experiences/facts are real but they ALSO have to prove to themselves that your experiences/facts are real. Interesting

What do they call those people that don't have to take any personal responsibility? Oh yea...children

YOU said there were plenty of media reports about covid spread with protestors. I did not see or read any such reports during the early days of protesting/rioting. I asked for a link to such reporting....still waiting, which proves my point.

No, but if you make a claim, be prepared to provide evidence.

Presumably, if one player tests positive, then he will have been "in contact" with every other player on the team. Thus, necessitating a quarantine period for the entire team. That sounds stupid and excessive, I know. But there hasn't been a lot of reason and logic exercised throughout this entire episode.

When they get to camp they are going to be "bubble boys." I would expect them to have somewhat restricted contact with people outside the program.

What about once the season starts? Are they not going to go to class?

Yea dude. It’s hard to know what’s going on when you blindly follow one news source. Look it up for yourself. Everyone knows if you had evidence to the contrary you’d have posted it by now. Clown
