Hopefully we'll have one in the second year at the new Alex Box.

There is some serious chit chat that the new Box won't be ready on opening day, so the first game(s) will be played at the original Box. So don't pee yourself if opening day/first game of the season and first game at the new Box are not synonymous.

Whose chit chat? Any specific construction issues?

Yes, Russian, I'll happily attend a few games with you. Thanks for asking!
You just say the word when you'll be in town for a game and I'll give you one of my tickets. The seats are in the grandstand and appear to have a great view.

When did that change? I heard maybe not for the first 9-10 games.

I heard that they will make it "habitable" like they did with the stadium club back in 2005, with the finishing touched coming later in the season.

sorry - had to go do yard work and then wrestle a Cmas tree into submission...

Overheard in the athletic admin bldg when baseball season tickets were being picked up. No particular issues, just the usual things that happen when structures are being built, plus we haven't even begun to have our usual winter time rains. As for the comment that "it will be ready for game 1" well, I'd certainly prefer that you are right and I am wrong, but just thought that folks who are counting down the minutes to the BOX (as opposed to the SEASON), might want to pre-untwist their panties, JIC.

How would they reassign people with new tickets to the old box? The seats do not line up anymore.. That would be stupid. They would just make the new stadium habitable and move on.
