Peterson even said on the telecast that he's only made one bad pitch all game.

No it means the OP doesn't know what he is talking about. Gray has the batters off balance. He's pitching a great game. Everybody knew he threw upper 90s but I didn't realize how good his slider is, how often he throws it, and often he throws it for strikes.
He's got the batters guessing.
