When I was at LSU, the lady tigers would play at the rec in the offseason. They were on par with avg rec player under 6 ft tall. Superior Shooting and ball handling ability doesn't mean squat if you aren't fast or strong enough to shake free of a defender that is physically superior. Physically they can't match up.

I know that Geno would outcoach Johnny but women cant make up for the physical differences in those athletes

Yes. And Bama could beat the Browns

That gap has actually narrowed to the point where it is feasible nowadays.

If Geno is coaching them, they'd keep it within 50 points no problem. We lost to A&M and Mississippi St by 30 points. From reading this thread you'd think LSU had an above average bball program

Sure, the Lady Huskies could, just like Rhonda Rousey could beat Mayweather, the Globetrotters could beat the Cavs/Warriors, Bama could beat the Browns, and yes like McGregor is gonna outbox Money in a Boxing Only match..sure they could!

I was a 5'11" HS basketball benchwarmer at a 5A school (we had a good team). At the time I believe the best player on the LSU team was a girl named Elaine Powell. She would routinely play at the rec. I could guard her with little to no problem and she would have trouble guarding me especially if I took her down on the block.

I believe LSU was ranked in the teens during that time.

I know CSB.

I can give you another good example . When I was in High school , the best player on the girls team would join us in pick-up games . She was very good , but I had no problem guarding her . I was not very good . She was 6'1" and went on to play at Louisiana Tech , started and was a star right away . Tech won several championships while she was there , and as a senior she won the Wade trophy ( awarded to the best woman BB player in NCAA ) . Some of you probably have heard of Pam Kelly .

Wow. You never played basketball have you? No way in hell the UCONN women would score 30 against the LSU men. Dumb question. One of the dumber ones I've ever read on the RANT.

I would say the 12 best would beat them by 40+
The 12 best over 30 would beat them by 20-30.
The 12 best over 40 might be close.

Great question

Thanks for reminding us that slower, weaker, smaller and less athletic teams usually dominate the game of basketball.
