As a preface, I want LSU to win every game now. However...if they skid, does that increaae the chance of us keeping Mickey or Martin for one more year??? Honestly...I'm trying to be excited with this team..but being honest, I know next year will be at another level..and Anything this team does is just a precursor for what's to come. And I realize my outlook isn't beneficial to the upper class men...but it is what it is.

I would say it would make a difference if we were at the compete for a title level, but we are not. Guys on teams such as Florida, UNC, and others have come back but they knew guranteed by coming back they were a Sweet-16/Elite-8 team, or as good a gurantee as you are going to get.

I just do not understand posters and fans of any school in general for wondering why guys do not come back. No matter what when guys leave early it is only natural for fans to want our guys to come back. But realistically if you have a $200,000 job waiting for you, it takes a lot to pass that up.

Both Martin and Mickey came back because scouts had questions about their games at the NBA level. Both fortunately/unfortunately are tweeners at the next level in different molds.I believe both play in the NBA one day, but I do not think either for sure are drafted in the first round (guranteed contracts). Average fan has no idea how tough it is.

But no to answer your question how the team does this year will not effect their decision one way or another IMO.
