If that's true, the "Stringer swipe card" poster needs to be banned.

I really wish Corban would tough it out... as a Freshman Andre struggled and people were calling for his head, and they still do but players grow and become better players with time. I think we forget how difficult Division 1 basketball is much less playing in one of the major conferences. Very rarely do you see Freshman come in and make a seemless transition, we look at the one and dones and think thats how all freshmans should be but thats maybe 4 or 5 guys a year which means there are hundreds of freshman that are either barely playing if at all or if they are playing they are inconsistent and go through alot of ups and downs in their play. So sometimes we cast these guys as the biggest losers but for what its worth as bad as you think some of these guys are or have been hardly any of us fans could contain any of these guys on the court, football field, or baseball field.

I don't know what idiot started that tread about stringer but it probably was suppose to be corbin being removed since that's the news that came out the next day on here. That thugpos should of listen to his co-worker and called and asked was he really suppose to be removed stringer instead of letting the rant scared him shiteless

Thanks Michael! This rumor had me nervous. We are gonna have a very good team next year. The last thing we need is Andre leaving causing us to lose our serious fire power from the outside. I am assuming someone confused Andre with Corban Collins leaving.

That being said....ya made my day.

Now let's kick butt in the NCAA Tourney next year!

I agree with a lot of what you said. Most freshmen will get much better as time progresses, especially as playing time increases, they understand the game better, and get physically stronger. However, I dont blame Collins at all for "seeing the writing on the wall" right now.

He's entering his sophomore season as the #5 guard on the team behind Hickey, Stringer, Morgan and Quarterman in terms of playing minutes and only 1 of those guys, your bro, will be gone after his sophomore season...so he'll become the #4, at best, guard on the team for his junior season which still means limited playing minutes...and that's assuming we dont sign a big time guard for 2014, which we very well could in someone like Dante Exum who would just push him back to the #5 guard spot on the team once again.

While you love the effort Collins displays, I'm just not sure he was made to play at the big conference level. The game just seems too fast for him and he tries to overcompensate for that by trying to keep up. Just not sure his overall skill set translates to this level. There's a good split of people here that think Collins would be good with time but also another split of people who think he would just end up as the guard version of Jalen Courtney as well continuing to play here.

I think there's going to be a lot of pressure on the "bench" players from here on out in the Johnny Jones era if he continues to bring in Top 100 players. In many years under Brady or Trent Johnson, Quarterman would be coming in and starting right away, but now he has to wait his turn, despite being a pretty big talent. There's a good chance Mickey will not even start this season either, but under the old regimes he would right away. We simply are stacking up full rosters finally and doing it with lots of quality talent. Invariably, when you do that, guy who look to get 5-10 minutes at most in their careers here will start to look in other directions.

I think Collins, with time, could contribute well down the road for a smaller college team. He's from carolina, maybe a UNCW or UNCA. Heck, he is from High Point which has it's own Division I school there in High Point University. Wouldn't be a terrible place to go and get more playing time and be right on top of home.
