I got the opportunity to meet with Dale Brown last week. To keep a long story short, because it was the greatest meeting I ever had, I asked him for about 5 minutes of his time and he ended up talking to us for over an hour and a half. He is truly the greatest, most inspirational person I've ever met. Anyway, at one point during the meeting he reaches into a stack of pictures he had in his office and pulls out a framed picture of himself and he gave it to me. He told me it was one of the awards that was given to him when he was elected into the Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.

I have plenty of LSU stuff, but this is by far the greatest piece I'll ever have. Just thought I'd share it with some of you who like these kinds of things (and to brag a little )

That's awesome!
On another note, how hard would he be trolling if he had like 30 of those made and now gives them to everyone he meets?

Oldest trick in the book, straight from dale carnegie's how to win friends and influence people. Dude probably has hundreds of those in a warehouse somewhere. Don't be surprised when he asks for a favor in a year

That's awesome. I have possibly the last home run ball Wally Pontiff hit before he died. (I know its one of the last few, but im not sure if its the last one). LSU was playing at Southeastern and my dad and I left the game early. While we were walking to our truck, Wally hit the ball over the right field into a parking lot and the ball bounced into a truck bed and we took it and left.

I would guess it's a possibility. I wont think of it that way though. Either way, still pretty damn cool to have.

When I was there Dale Brown was doing me a huge favor, not the other way around. And even so, if Dale Brown would ask me for anything I would certainly do everything possible to help the guy.

My dad has quite a few. I know among them is a Bill Cannon autograph on a football. Shaq autographed LSU basketball. I also got one from Dale Brown when he was watching his grandson play in a JV basketball tournament. Jared Mitchell on an LSU helmet. I am sure there are more, just can't think of them all.

Any reason why we haven't named the PMAC Court after him yet? I know he underachieved with some teams, but he was the man that put LSU basketball on the map and we were a consistent tourney team during his tenure (something we have not replicated since his departure).
