“Where I come from in Hollywood, Florida is a drug-stricken area,” Daniels explained. “We don’t really have many role models doing positive things in comparison to people following around the guys that are doing the wrong things.

“I made it from Hollywood to become a college football player, won a national championship and made it to the NFL. People back home see that, but then I wanted to give them one more thing to think about. I wanted them to see my commitment to going back and getting my college degree.”

One of the best Tiger quotes of all time from Travis after getting his redshirt pulled for one play against UT in the 2001 SEC Championship Game:

"I play for the name on the side of my helmet, not the one on the back of my jersey."

yeah, i was trying to figure out how a kid from Florida fit into that equation. Addai and LaFell were there supporting him which means there could be an out of state contingent that is a third clique within LSU football. However, Webster throws all this afoul coming from south LA. More confused than ever...

Toshiro, give me a call.

Great to see......PLUS, Now I can forgive him for dropping that gimme INT against Florida in 2003 which would have put LSU up 14-0...It was so in the bread basket with 25 yards in front of him that he just plain dropped it. I will always insist LSU would not have had to split the championship with USC had he not dropped that ball. I know, I know, this was not a guaranteed thing, but in my opinion, it would have changed the remainder of the game in the Tigers favor.
