No. JJ with this team would be just as bad if not worse.

Though, I will say that it's more the offense than it is the qb.

Not really. His scrambling brought a different dimension, but he was a pretty bad passer for this level of college football.

OL and experience are killing Mett. I'm still bullish on him.

I disagree. With JJ, we move the chains a few more times and flip the field position and pull out the win at Florida.... and the Auburn game is not close....we win 24-10.

We would still be extremely frustrated with the offense but we would be undefeated......

Yes, JJ and JL for that matter....They managed games.

JJ's ability to run would help with the porous O-Line play this year.

For the record, LSU wideouts hadn't been good since Dewayne Bowe.

Rueben Randle underachived at LSU to be recruited so high.

Yep...I have always been a fan of JJ..yes he had his brain farts but the guy won us games. With this piss poor offensive coaching staff, I strongly believe that JJ could have been a stud at another school.

P.S. Before the rant attacks JJ, please keep in mind that his brother is a recruit that has committed to play at LSU next yr.

The coaches of TD would consider your reasoning to be flawed.

When he said that he "made good plays" after such awful offensive performances, I thought he was insane, stupid, arrogant, or a bit of all.

However, considering Les' offense, maybe what he did is in fact considered "making good plays?"

Absolutely not, JJ showed no improvement from the day he arrived at LSU until the day he left.

All this bashing on Mett and the team is a bit absurd. WTF did you expect from an unproven QB commodity in his first SEC starts? Given the talent that left last year did you expect we would be better?

Give it a little time, all is still well in Tigerland. Most SEC programs would love to be blessed with "our problems"..

frick no. Played behind ahealthier o line. Fewer penalties . Less drops. He had a piss poor attitude. And made way more dumb plays.

Hell NO. He was absolutely terrible and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. We were more one dimesional last year than we are now.

Doucet, LaFell, Byrd, Dickson, I knew those guys were going to catch the ball when it was thrown to them. This current corp, I have my doubts at times.

What makes you think that? We went an entire half without a first down in the Conference Championship last year.

I was never one to bash JJ, but I did think that the coaching staff was doing all they could with a QB that couldn't perform as well as most would like.

Now, with 5 YEARS of lower than sub par performance on offense, one just cannot say that it's the players.

I'm not saying 'fire miles', or whatever, but this is a matter of coaching and general philosophy.

4733 passing yards and 34 career TD passes disagree with you. No, he wasn't the greatest ever, but he was effective and got things done.

No, JJ was bad and had a bad attitude. That said, I think we would at worst have the same record with him this year. His scrambling ability could have heeled vs florida saturday.
