Let's see ... Tulane has beaten LSU in a super regional ... they're a perennial baseball powerhouse capable most years of winning 50 games ... their goal every year is to get to Omaha ...

So yeah. I guess beating LSU last night WAS their "super bowl."

I don't use the term "rantard" because it's so trite but if I ever DID ... I'd use it here.

Some of you people need to do this forum a favor and 1) hit yourself over the head as punishment for Public Stupidity and 2) instead of posting, jam your keyboard up your arse sideways.

also, the series is tied since Rick Jones has been the coach. So don't act like we win every year.

Also, I hate the way people try to act like our players are all in these horrible slumps at the plate. We scored seven runs on eleven hits on a good team. Please stop criricizing our hitters if they don,t score 15 runs a game. Please stop trying to act like you are a hitting coach and breaking down their swings and their approaches at the plate. Especially since 95% of the people on here couldn't hit a slow pitch softball.

Number 2 in the country and number 3 in the state of Louisiana? Is that possible?

LSU does play both of those teams again this season. Will that be two more Super Bowls? And if I remember correctly, Tulane leads the series from games this decade, so it's not like this has never happened before.

It's an exaggeration. Point is people don't understand how hard it is to hit against good pitching. Tulane is a good team and this was a well played game by both teams.

For being intheknow you aren't that in.... those two teams could care less about winning a mid-week game. Contrary to your belief they get the same thing out of it that LSU does. A chance to play kids who don't get much pt on the weekends. It kills me to hear crap like that. Its baseball, on any given day anyone can beat anyone. Especially mid-week games

it doesnt really bother me because neither teams are suckfests. granted they are both having down years but arent terrible by any means. they were midweek games that gave us a chance to play less experienced guys. not sure about tulane but im pretty sure UL threw everything they had at us and beat us by one nice swing in the 9th.

think about last night. we had at least 4 if not more TRUE FRESHMAN play. matulis gave up a 3 run homer and pitched fine afterwards. i think he was pulled too early, but apparently he might pitch this weekend so maineri wanted to let him rest.

im more focused on playing the #1 team in the country this weekend.
