A win against a FCS team like Furman does not establish anything. It is a rent-a-win. The fact that Furman was able to compete with LSU for a half should concern any fan. It show lack of focus, will or whatever in our program. Note the blowouts in the first half by AL or FSU against far supeior FCS programs than Furman. Furman's starting athletes were probably worn down in the second half, more than anything else, which would explain the difference in the first and second half results. Believe me, it was not the "coaching" adjustments.

That is something to be proud of. Saban couldn't even beat UAB or Iowa. If that's a God, I'm really happy I don't follow that religion.

2001-2003. 2 SEC Titles, 1 NC. LSU was 6-1 in 2002 until Mauck got injured beating UF @ UF for the first time in God knows how long.
2001 - SEC Title, Sugar Bowl win.
2002 - As stated, Cotton Bowl loss.
2003 - 13-1 SEC Title and BCSNC.
Best run in LSU history.

Great milestone, but as with anything that has to do with Les,there's always a turd attached to it even when something good happens. The first half of that game was a shitshow, and then they put on a clinic the second half.
