I for one will be cheering LSU on the rest of the way. I believe I saw the NAtional Champs play last night. I want to thank Milesfromsaban for the tix and chilling with you guys and letting charge my phone in the rv. Sweet rv btw.
This was my first game in many years (sadly).
Overall it was a great environment, great tailgating and friendly banter from both sides. Would love to see a home/home renewed and come see you guys in BR.
You guys in section 202 were good to talk to and enjoyed the game with. Anyone know why the state trooper was talking to people in section 201?
About the game. Although 26 point loss, most real fans know it wasn't really a blow out. Was closer than the score indicated. We imploded and shot ourselves in the foot. Im a realist and knew are chances were slim, but when you turn the ball over 4 times (2unforced!) then that doesn't help at all.
Special teams. Man did that play out the opposite of what the yearly trend had been. Your punter did a phenomenal job. We started at our 3,3,5,7, and 10 after punts. You guys also returned a ko for a touchdown. The touchdown return was the game changer. Momentum was on our side and down by only 6. That return deflated us. Really poor tackling buy our guys on all special teams last night along with our punter shanking 2 punts.
Our defense/ your offense. I think for the most part our defense held better than expected. We gave up only 366 yards, and about 80 of that was in the 4th with the game decided. You guy converted what seemed to be extremely crucial timed 3rd downs. I think Lee is maturing every week, and I think Les would be crazy to replace him. We gave up 186 yards rushing, but again quite a bit in the 4th after the outcome was known. (55 yards on your last scoring drive). I really think you guys had a good balanced attack.
Our offense/ your defense. Ball hawkers. Although only 2 interceptions, could have been 4 or more great defensive awareness, but I do think this game proved they can be exposed. Luckily you guys wont face a qb like Geno again (unless you play Oklahoma) I can't think of the last time I've seen your defense give up that many yards. I was extremely pleased with our offensive line. We were able to keep your smothering dl away from Geno and give him time. If we had any kind of rushing game we wouldn't have had to air it out 65 times. Why did you guys not blitz more?
We are a very young team and although lost by 26, I think there were some great things to take away from this game.
Again congrats and I for one hope you guys run the table and take another NC trophy.

No it was a blow out, but I agree it should have been much worse.

Did you see our #7 punch your WR in the throat when he stripped the ball? Disgusting!

4 TD's is a blow out chief.

Your QB is very good when he has time, and he had plenty last night
LSU defensive play was good enough, but not at all what we've seen the first 3 games
Good luck down the road.......Good news for you is that you don't have our remaining schedule to contend with.....

Geno is the real deal but I thought should put him on a pass count and bring in the reliever. Your coach needs to get me a juice box.
Good luck to you this year.

Ultimately this game was decided by turnovers and the punters.
The yardage disparity was because of the field position battle as overwhelmingly in our favor as I have seen in 40 years of watching LSU football. You guys were able to drive the field but not score because you almost always started inside your 10. Our yardage was "less" because our drives ended in the endzone.
Your defense put up a good fight for 3 quarters. Lot of guys hustling. Your QB and top 2 wideouts were better than advertised.
Your coach is a classless jerk. Your fans booing injured players (there is nothing to gain from faking injuries on offense and ST - if we were doing it - your coach acted like a baby) was a turnoff - I enjoyed the matchup last year, but this year - fans like yourself seem to be in the minority.

No clue. We were definitely playing a scheme to not give up any big plays and hope to make Geno throw into double coverages and thick zones. We played a totally different defenseive gameplan than normal which shows how much our staff respected yalls offense, but I dont think our players responded well to the change. I think itll help the coaches know just to play our defense and the players will have to respond.
Overall happy, and the defense gave up a ton of yards but only 21 points. I think we were happy with that.

Only LSU fans on the rant can be outclassed by WV fans. Bravo!

Thanks man. I agree it wasnt a blow out but the game never really seemed to be that close, even when it was 21 27. Great game.

LSU played vanilla all night.
No pinning our ears back.
No real razzle dazzle plays.
+26 point win.
