Russell was the man. He did everything well. #1 in QB Rating, Comp%, YPA, and Int%. #3 in TD%. He even had the #2 YPC for his final (JUNIOR year. Indeed, Russell's final (JUNIOR) year absolutely crushes any other QB's senior year. It boggles the mind to think what could have happened if he had stayed for the 2007 year.

Jefferson clearly has the second best senior year. Jefferson's career is arguably the second best as well. #1 in YPC, #2 in Comp% and Int%, #3 in YPA.

Mauck is either tied with Jefferson for second best career, or he's in third place. #2 in QB Rating, YPA, and TD%. #3 in Comp%.

Flynn has the fourth best career. #1 in TD%; #2 in YPC, #3 in QB Rating and Int%.

Lee has the third best senior year. However, Lee's career does not compare very favorably to the other listed LSU QBs. #5 in YPC, QB Rating, YPA, and Int%. #4 in Comp% and TD%.

I remember Flynn being better in 2007 than his stats show. He definitely made some big plays that year. Russell's 2006 season stats hides the fact that he played horribly in the two losses that year.

Really cheezes me off how many LSU fans dog on Russell because he was an NFL washout. The guy is the best quarterback in LSU history, fullstop, no comparison.

He played pretty well against Auburn actually. If we had opened up the offense and let him throw it from the start, we would have won going away.

He was good, but he never won the money game. The other guys did. Jefferson will be the next one to seal his name in LSU history.

You have a selective memory. Flynn was 17/35 for 130 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT against Kentucky in 2007.

Great breakdown.

Mauck and Flynn were very special QBs. Lee and Jefferson have been outstanding this season and very special.

I'll always remember Lee/Jefferson for their accomplishments this season. Maybe not the most STAND OUT QBs of the ones we have achieved greatness with, but they are an integral part just the same.

I think they may be the perfect statement for this team and season. Both guys contributed, both had major accomplishments. Just like the whole team.

Russell is the best, no doubt..then Rohan. JJ hasn't had enough snaps or played enough this year to put him above those who played a complete season. I think if LSU wins the championship and he plays mistake free the next two games, you could mention his season with the others.
