The only way to win at Ole Miss is to cheat. We've all seen it first hand and will soon see the fallout from it.

Saban has his own defensive playbook. Considering he was a coordinator/defensive guru.

Being ok with this hire is the reason we will never reach Bama's level. Do you think Bama would ever hire a hc that HAS NEVER RAN A SUCCESSFUL OFFENSE, DEFENSE , OR PROGRAM. Do you think Bama elevate a 55 year career dline coach to hc? Hell no.

Most of the kids on this board aren't old enough to remember Bama hiring Mike Price. We are less than 10-15 years ago from Bama being a complete dumpster fire. Yes, Bama has had an incredible run, but to act like they make the right decision every time... hahaha

You really need to go back and see what mike price had accomplished before being hired at bama. Mike Price had actually ran a successful program befoe being hired at bama. Educate yourself. No one has ever said bama doesnt make bad hires. What they dont do is hire the least qualified coach available. There are dozens of coordinators that were more qualified than Ed Orgeron. Dave Aranda is more qualified than Ed Orgeron.

Ha ha ha.

Coach A- had two successful coaching tenures. He has the 7th best win %in sec history. He has the best win% ever at a top 10 alltime program.

Coach B- has never ran a successful offense, defense , or program

You posters that actually believe a career dline coach is better than one of the most successful coaches in SEC history are showing your football ignorance. Miles was justly fired but not to hire the least qualified hire in big 6 history.

You and i have ran as many successful offenses, defenses, and successful programs as Ed Orgeron. Let that sink in.

I try to tell myself that the night is darkest just before the dawn. I wish for the best but realistically just want to see the program start fresh without O and Alleva. We could go back to some bad times if we keep letting O coach.

I just dont understand why the hell Alleva rushed the hire? O wouldve said yes 2 months from now.
Herman said he wanted to hear what texas offered and Jimbo said no. Fine. Do you job and find a qualified candidate. Hell, offer Dave Aranda the job. He was hired to be Ed Orgeron's boss and is far more qualified. Alleva has to go. He has gone cheap on basketball and football.

We definitely know Les wasn't beating Bama and UF would have been a toss up. LSU beat UF everywhere but the scoreboard.
The more germane question is whether Les could have orchestrated wins vs the Hogs and aTm. Bert owned Miles except for one implausible, last minute, miracle drive.
O is an improvement over Les. Recruiting won't suffer. O will actually install a modern offense and give the OC the freedom to run it. If O can learn to manage the game, clock and how to keep focus, manage distractions he will have to chance to be exceptional.

Alleva is an absolute joke

It embarrasses me that he is even here

He doesn't care about winning, ever and he caves to pressure

He forced the Duke coach to resign or else be fired over false allegations

I cannot stand Alleva and can't believe I thought he'd actually attempt to have a real thorough coaching search.

How did he get this gig

But that's the thing

Any avg coach can have success here while already established

Even Miles proved that

But we really had a chance to be elite and settled for an upgraded Miles

So we will win just enough to justify it but I don't know that this approach gets us over the hump. Constantly dependent upon both coordinator hires is extremely difficult. Especially offensively.. wish we could have hired an x and o HC who could at least lock down one side of the ball.

Oh well maybe we will get to 10 win seasons again but I just see a ceiling.. and much difficultly maintaining.

I'd rather go big than just settle because talent alone here is going to win the majority of games.

So his plan is to have great assistants who will do the coaching for him? Got it.

How much are we paying him to hire the real coaches?
