Man I miss that ping so much from the bats. They basically are admitting the new bats are garbage by letting them use the old ones

Not sure but they are starting with 8 so I would think 4 would make 2nd round?

I believe they said that each batter gets 2 rounds, then the top 4 move on.

I think they can use whatever bat they want. I remember hearing one of the anouncers during the CWS say they dont check the bats for home run derby.

If they are letting them use the old bats it's more a statement about the stadium being a graveyard.

Using different balls too. Guy said they were using MLB balls that were different than the college ball.

Doesn't is say something when they have to let the players use the old college bats and the major league ball just to make a homerun derby interesting.
