You will never see a funnier, more intensely pissed off collection of responses on a message board. It's fricking priceless to bring up that they're not even in the top 3 most prestigious schools in Texas and watch them all freak the frick out and shite on UT repeatedly

They have the worst "little brother" syndrome of any university on the planet.

Its nuts. They hate UT more than Palestine hates Israel, but in this scenario Israel is far bigger, wealthier, more well-known, and more well-liked. Its wild. They absolutely lose their shite over anything about UT and change any subject to be about UT. Never seen anything like it.

And UT is much better in other sports outside of the main ones and has twice as many students (thus more people at obscure sporting events). I bet their small sports aren't all free.

Well they are really good at swimming, volleyball, and track, but you could easily argue LSUis equal to or much better than UT in the rest of the no revenue sports

In fact, though I'll note they're OOS students, the majority of them were shocked that people actually gave a damn about college baseball. In their three years, they had gone to about 1-2 games each

However, I agree that I am probably overlooking the basics of supply and demand, and UT has a massive enrollment compared to LSU. They probably have to charge that much to counter the demand.

$90 for all LSU home football, basketball, and baseball games? That's unreal

Yup. I'm pretty positive it was $75 my freshman year, and it's about $85-$90 now. It's a pretty incredible value that I will miss after December

I don't even understand why. I get that they think they're hot shite but I work with multiple guys from Texas and they all say that Texas A&M is widely viewed as a school for lower class redneck cultish weirdos. When I think of "rich Texas colleges" I think of TCU, SMU, Baylor, UT, etc. not some brokedick A&M school in college station

...so nothing has changed since the 70's!

you and me both....but as part of my (CENSORED--obscenely low) tuition and fees, there was a fee for the athletic department that paid for access...
