College Football is Big Business

If I had it my way Jimbo would be here, but the thing I realize about these coaches like Saban, Fisher, and Miles is that they don't give a shite about the places they coach. I used to hear Saban say how happy he was at LSU, but as soon the Dolphins put a large contract in his face, he was gone like he never knew us. He doesn't give a shite about Alabama either. The Gumps will tell you otherwise, but Saban don't care about them. He and Fisher are about themselves. To some extent you can't blame them,
after all college football is a cutthroat business.
Regardless, Fisher wanted this job! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I admit, I love CEO, but Alleva possibly screwed the pooch; only time will tell. Fisher has Saban qualities about him, he learned from the man. He's a winner and will win several more championships at FSU before he calls it a career.
To that end, CEO truly loves LSU and I trust and believe in him that he will make us a winner again and be very successful here. Twice in his career he became a coach at mid-season and both times he was fairly successful. It's more difficult to take over someone else's team than build your own from scratch.
I want to see a CEO team that built from scratch. I want to see what their going to be all about given the talent he has to work with at LSU! If his two interim gigs are any indication, Tigers fans are going to start enjoying watching LSU Football again! Just my opinion.

This contradicts literally everything you said above.
If Orgeron loves LSU so much why didn't he come in 2010?

I'm with you all the way to here. These guys get rich by "loving where they are," but it's business, their careers. They are CEOS of large companies and are loyal to themselves and their families, with themselves getting the edge while they justify it by saying they provide a luxurious life for the families.

False. This team was loaded with top talent. All they needed was a little energy boost and someone to quit running a goal line offense for the entire length of the football field.

I don't know that answer, but I know CEO will never leave LSU even if USC comes calling.
I know CEO is in a way better position taking over LSU then he was at taking over at both Ole Miss and USC.
Only time will tell how this hiring works out, but the moves he and LSU are making I expect LSU to be in the NC in 2-3 years. We have great talent coming in next year, but DA is not a NC capable qb.

I could not disagree more strongly with this.

I have already seen this when he was at Ole Miss. And, BTW, recruiting was not his problem. When he left, there was pretty good talent.
If he can keep top-flight coordinators, he might do well. But it will be a challenge because most people learn from doing...not watching other do things. He will have to a learned a great deal without the training that all other coaches get will smaller head coaching jobs to actually bring LSU to the level that the fans expect.

This team was so mentally f**ked after the Auburn loss it's amazing they rebounded the way they did. Next will be a lot easier mentally heading into the season.

Well he didn't want it bad enough, he can keep hiding out in the ACC and make his money. Nobody wants to deal with Saban every year unless they getting top dollar. Pussification of CFB when a midget has everyone scared of him.

We'll this is just false and you know it.
The only time O started from scratch he was horrible. At both USC and LSU, O was handed a Ferrari with a flat tire. And he STILL couldn't meet expectations. (UF)

Fisher himself told everyone how badly he wanted it when he didn't take LSU's offer.
It's pretty clear that had he actually wanted the job, he would have the job today.

If he wanted the job, he probably could have had it. He didn't value it enough to show sufficient interest or have the willingness to negotiate.

It's pretty sharp that you figure this out all by yourself.
