Losing to an unranked team at home certainly won't help. but, 13 aint bad.

I guess they put a huge premium on playing SEC games - Moo State gets 2 at Vandy, but loses 3 on the week and moves up 5 spots.

Following its first series win at Louisiana State since 1996, Alabama comes in at No. 22

this make me sad.

This is the week pollsters finally start moving teams around based on the whole picture. They now have a week or two of teams playing better competition. 13-18 is about right for LSU IMO.

Look at it this way. If LSU and UNO switch schedules/names and they were preseason ranked, UNO would still be top 10 and LSU wouldn't be ranked. It takes a while for the preseason biases to wash away.

Aggie didn't look great vs Auburn, the worst team in the league. I think we take 2 of 3.

Meh we will see. I'm hoping so but don't put much faith it in with our starting pitching struggling and lack of clutch hitting to this point.

Lange went 6 innings giving up no runs and 3 hits. Poche went 5 giving up 1 run and 4 hits.

It's not as bad when you look at the lines. Don't get me wrong. They need to be much better at stopping things when they start to fall apart.

Either that or do what normal coaches do and recognize when they are falling apart and don't be afraid to pull them. Then again, our bullpen to this point in the season hasn't been stellar. It all comes down to the hitting really, and timely hitting at that.

Does Lange press if we score the run in the bottom of the 6th? Does Poche pitch differently with a lead? Maybe this weekend, that was a factor, but they've both had struggles even when we were hitting and playing the easy teams.

Yeah I agree. Was hoping the kinks would be worked out by SEC play. Its a shame we are worried about our pitching when we needed them to carry us. On the other hand, imagine if we didn't have Valek on the team.

yeah no matter ho good they pitch, you're not going to win a lot of games scoring "zero".

We should have been 13 at the start of the season IMO. Still a long way to go, and after we sweep A&M this weekend, we will be back in the top 10.

I agree, starting pitching wasn't the problem this weekend besides the huge inning Lange lost his command.

Poche with his stat line would have been in for a win a year ago.

Valek pitched his heart out.

It's so difficult to ask a pitcher to go out and throw a perfect inning every time knowing the offense isn't going to help you.

Our hitters had 1 good inning. 1 out of 27 and we win 1 of 3. Our pitching is under the microscope and they weren't as bad as people seem to think. Bugg though...

Your best bet is the help board. But first you'll need someone to make it smaller and make the background transparent.
