Thanks Cub...

Preseason, nobody would have predicted these ERAs after 3 weeks:

Poche 0.92

Valek 2.04

Lange 4.15

Our team ERA is over 3 and our batting average is over 0.300.

Surprisingly enough we have the least number of strikes in the league by a pretty damn good margin. Never would have thought that with such a young group of position players, especially rotating a bunch in and out.

Strikeouts
1. Alabama 97
2. Vanderbilt 92
3. Missouri 90
4. Georgia 83
Auburn 83
6. Kentucky 75
7. South Carolina 74
8. Arkansas 69
Tennessee 69
10. Texas A&M 64
Ole Miss 64
12. Mississippi State 63
13. Florida 58
14. LSU 46

Bats keeping us alive in these games. Never would have guessed it but will take it. Expectations used to be so low for these young and new guys with the bats because I didn't want to be unrealistic, but right now they look just fine.

Of course, we haven't gotten to SEC play. I'm hoping they carry some momentum into conference.

Fall and Spring scrimmage stats showed that the bats weren't as bad as most fans thought.

If Lange can get back to being Lange I wouldn't rule it out.

True, and I can only speak for myself, but I didn't want to place a lot of weight into the scrimmages. Nothing beats real competitive games that count over practices and scrimmages.

I'll be honest in that I still don't think they keep this average up once we're in late April, but AD and CF have been very welcoming suprises.
