Cmon people.
I do NOT want LF to sit. I want to see him in P&G.
But there is literally NO objective argument in favor of him playing another down at LSU.
He can't improve his draft stock. Literally nothing he does this year can help him for his upcoming career.

Financially you are correct he can't improve upon where he is in the draft but he does have to play to keep his draft stock. If he sat out he would no longer be a top 5 pick.
Also the chance to win a NC and the Heisman and become an immortal figure in the history of college football is on the line.
How about this for an argument? The guy that they are talking about the one who has the final decision WANTS to play football. That is the end of all arguments if HE wants to play and risk HIS future then everybody else can just shut up about it.

Most national sports guys are pro oriented. They don't care about CFB and would just as soon replace it with an NFL farm system.

I can't understand why Leonard Fournette is the only player in the history of college football to have a cacophony of sportswriters saying he should sit out a year when he's not even eligible for the draft. Literally no sportswriter in history has ever said this about any player in history. Why now? Why Fournette? Has there never been another great player in college football history?

If that were what were going on here, then we should have heard at least someone somewhere saying this about some other player at some point in the past, but there literally has never been another player in the history of the sport who had even one sportswriter say this about him. This is just pure stupidity, and why they've singled out LF for this unique and unprecedented campaign I don't know. It seems they simply want LSU to have drama.

I agree 100% with this. It's a personal decision.
That doesn't take away from the objective reality of the situation.

Yes. I'm not talking about saying a guy should declare early when he's eligible to do so. I'm talking about saying a guy should take a year off and sit on his arse when he's not yet eligible to declare early for the draft. I've never heard it. Not once. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Colin Cowherd is a blowhard and an idiot and he doesn't even believe half the shite he says.

When you are a wanna be athelete and in front of a microphone, stupid crap wil flow from your mouth. He does not understand competition or being competitive. Fournette has an opportunity to win the Heisman trophy and possible a National Championship ring. Something Cowherd never had a chance to do. So I don't put much in what he says concerning atheletes. You had to have been one and he sure has the looks of maybe someone that competed in shuffle board.

Link? I never heard anyone say he should sit out for a year before he was eligible to declare for the draft.
