You remember Hoover, right, when LSU's pitchers only allowed 11 runs to be scored by the opponents in FOUR games after subtracting the game Cody Glenn started?? And that was in a tournament where LSU played five games on the road and not in the Friendly Confines of Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

Sorry that my last post was so illiterate. I am all for Newman to pitch against whoever on Sunday. I believe we could get a good 7 innings out of him, if not more, especially seeing its not against an SEC team.

this is how I feel...I don't know much about Newman and Bonvillain's stats, but I've seen them pitch very effectively. And like you said, these other teams will be down the line on pitchers too.
I mean, people in this thread are saying we aren't making it out of the regionals...good grief.

Most of ULLLL's batters are players who weren't even recruited by SEC teams because they weren't good enough. If Arkansas or Alabama had faced Sunbelt Conference pitching for half their games, they would have set batting records.

Answer, TWO. And both runs came in the 9th inning when LSU already had the game won with an 11 run lead.
How many hits? Answer, SEVEN. And THREE of those hits came in the 9th inning. And for the record, in that 9th inning, Joey Bourgeois gave up all three hits and both runs in spite of striking out the side.

No and we probably won't ever know because CPM wants him available if we make it to Supers.
Suspend him now for breaking team rules and not have to explain yourself when you allow him back next weekend if we make it.
My guess is, however, he missed curfew and was out getting drunk.
