Game day coaching comes down to 1 thing - adjustments. A strategy is developed pre-game and adjustments to the strategy determine the outcome. LSU and NCST both decided uptempo was the pre-game strategy - NCST adjusted at halftime and LSU had no answer. PERIOD.

What is the big deal? Baylor and Iowa State were #3 seeds and lost to #14 seeds after being up as much. At least LSU lived up to its true identity.

If LSU hits free throws you wouldn't have started this thread. PERIOD.

LSU lost because the players disappeared the last 10 minutes. One FG in 10 min of play, or something close to that.

That's just wrong.

LSU controlled the game for 15 minutes of the 2nd half. What game were you watching?

The plan was working but the shots and FT's werent falling. Should Jones have changed some things down the stretch..yes but the overall plan worked.

This. We missed open shots, follow up attempts, and free throws. There isn't a coach in the country that can design plays allowing an uncontested layup every trip down the floor. Team couldn't buy a point, got frustrated, and momentum carried NC State to make every shot they took at the end. Sucks, but there is promise for the future, with or without M&M.

LSU played 30 minutes of the best basketball they played all season. There was no need to make adjustments at half time, when what we were doing was perfect.

Basketball is a game of runs, and every good team will make them. NC State needed to make the adjustments, and they did. NC State played a great second half, and for 10 minutes of the second half we answered every blow they gave our way. It just came down to LSU not hitting the shots when it counted most.

A few made free throws, or one or two made field goals and we are talking about how LSU has a shot against Villanova tomorrow.

If that last second left handed hook shot would not have dropped would JJ be a hero?
