Miles to Purdue would not surprise me one bit. Was told a month ago that he could have the job anytime he wants it. Would take Cam with him. He is a Indiana guy Good for them. We will see how long it takes , till this is done.My prediction... not long.
Coach O was given the keys to a Ferrari.

You'd have to be an idiot to hire the two of them together.

It would be a huge upgrade for Purdue. He'll get them top tier talent and make them a middle of the road team.

Great for Purdue. But not good enough at LSU.

He wouldn't get top tier talent there.

Hence, he would suck

I'm rooting for Miles but he would be stupid to bring Cam with him. Surely he has seen the error of his ways with the way LSU has played since he left.

Nope. Think Mullen at State. He'd improve them. Make them into a consistent bowl team, pull some upsets along the way but usually lose to the more talented teams.

Maybe a fresh start might change Les. But I doubt it.

He'll be welcomed with open arms and reunited with Chavis when the Aggy annual roller coaster starts next week.

I would really be surprised if he could do that. He regressed as a coach. It would be quite a change coaching Purdue talent compared to LSU talent. He did pretty decent at Oklahoma St., but he was so used to ground and pound and wearing teams out at LSU with his talent that it would take a totally different approach at Purdue and I think he'd probably go with the same approach. Last year's scare had no effect on him based on the offense we saw for the games that he did coach at LSU this year.

Don't care where he ends up, his buyout would reduce to $5 million.

Don't want him. He'd MAYBE recruit better. Purdues a tough place to recruit and our last 2 coaches have done a great job screwing up the few in state pipelines we did have.

52 year old Les is a slam dunk (and still coaches at LSU). 63 year old Les is a disaster. We'd find out real quick if his recruiting prowess was him or if it was the LSU network.

I've heard though he's come out and said he'd never take our job and I'm fine with that b
