Coach O's comments regarding KJ Malone

At his noon presser.
Reporter: "Do you think KJ will practice this week?".
Coach O: "No, umm no".
Reporter: "Is he out?".
Coach O: "I think he is questionable for a questionable amount of time".
He had a serious shite eating grin after that comment,
Is it pretty safe to say that KJ is done with football?

Kinda feel for him.
He knew he wasn't SEC caliber and almost left the team. Grimes/O convinced him to stay due to already zero depth.
Hope things workout for him and we can get him in as a heavy TE in goal line situations.
He's been a good Tiger.

Has knee brace. Guys that wear knee braces either have sprained or torn ligaments.

Was seen on crutches moving rather slowly.
Beyond that, don't know. But crutches and slowly is all that is needed. He's not hopping around with just a boot.

Don't over reach here! If you don't get why he had a grin by the way he worded his final statement, then I can't help you!

Malone was on crutches in pregame, so safe to say he’s done for awhile

Since I fricked up my reply, I'll clarify...
I was getting at people mentioning the smile were trying to make it into something it is not.
NOT that Orgeron was trying to make it into something.
Like I said... I fricked that up. I was referring to posters.

Good he sucked anyway. Got good line now
BUT....
I'll point out a couple things he does well that we might miss soon.
One thing he did at OT that many others struggle with (and I expect Charles to have issues soon) is defending the push upfield.
Let me explain in the reverse. So how many times do we see Arden Key hit the QB from behind as he steps up in the pocket? And I mean from the exact opposite direction of the LoS, not from the side.
What he's doing is speed rushing upfield (of course, it's his specialty) and the OT has to stay in front of him... duh, everybody knows that. However, OTs can't move their feet that fast and keep square with balance. So sooner or later they get un-square to stay in front of him. The hips turn, most importantly the shoulders turn. They are now 'running' instead of 'shuffling'.
As soon as that shoulder turns where they are not square to Key, that means their momentum is fully in that direction, center of mass is now shifted in the direction of travel, and they don't have good base in the line from rusher to QB. Just like a WR has the advantage over the DB on breaks because he knows when it's coming. Key just judo pushes the OT in the direction of travel, changes his direction of travel and now is loose.
What KJ is good at is being able to ride that DE all the way around without getting un-square. He doesn't let the speed turn him into a 'runner'. Just because you see an OT get 'pushed' way upfield doesn't mean it is a bad thing. If he's square (and arse down, knees bent) he's doing his job.
If Charles struggles with keeping square, you'll see them speed rush him to death (hello jet sweep!!).

Thanks, Grimey! Will you also breakdown blocking the swim and spin?
