Coach O with touching comments on his dream school

quote:
It's a LSU sweatshirt.
Orgeron's voice drops to a pained whisper.
"That right there, that's my family forever,"' he says.
He's not only talking about his son.
quote:
"My heart and soul were so empty, it was like being a father who is told you can't have your children anymore," Orgeron says. "So we decided to go home."
quote:
his preferred destination remains clear. It is visible not only on his son's sweatshirt, but in the emotion of his voice.
"I will be a LSU Tiger forever, and, I don't know what they're thinking, but the door to come back there is always open in my mind," Orgeron says. "If the right situation comes up this year and they ask me to go back, I'd be more than happy to listen."
quote:
"I'd come back as an assistant," he says. "I love the people there. I'm with my family now, but I miss my family there. I miss 'em right now. In the belly."
quote:
"There were three older couples, they came over to my wife and I, they said they didn't have any connection to the team but wanted to thank me for taking such good care of the LSU kids. It meant so much to me, what could I say?" recalls Orgeron, his voice melting into the bubbling of the gumbo. "I told them, hey, it's still my school. I left, but I will never leave."

That would be a great story if it was true. In all of the quotes, replace "LSU" with "USC", and that's what he was really talking about. LSU was his dream job because his other dream job wasn't open to him. The con job that was pulled over on Alleva and the LSU fanbase is of epic proportions.

sounds exactly like the garbage he spouted all offseason. i find it hilarious people fall for this "Coach O loves LSU" scam. If he loved LSU so much he would have come after 2008 instead of taking the tennessee job.

Because Orgeron's propaganda campaign needs to be exposed.

Did you know he learned a lot from Pete Carroll after he was fired at Ole Miss and didn't actually coach with Carroll again?

frickin This!!!! I like Coach O but to use this as a reason to make him the head coach is ludcraist. dont forget he had accepted a position with us and was currently assisting with recruiting etc and he bolted in the middle of the night to follow LK. He also tied stealing some recruits. Hes from here but his loyal to the check book

Exactly. He has spurned LSU for multiple similar positions in the past. He is a typical football coach who knows how to play the game.

There's plenty of things to knock O on that I don't need to include the fact that he'll say what works to get hired.
It's not his job to be 100% bullshite free in an interview. It's the other guy's job to see through it.
