I think he qualified it by saying "immediate family", meaning wife and kids...his family has been huge Tulane fans, players, coaches all their lives and as an LSU fan all I care about is his dedication to this current group of players that he is coaching.

I think Tulane has a top 3 team ERA in the country at the moment. Should be a great game

Tulanes offense is pretty tough to watch. Not a lot of big bats and they strike out at a very high rate. Pitching has carried them (even tho they have two bad series losses to gonzaga and uc riverside).

So, hypothetically, LSU is up by 10 runs in the 7th inning. Does Cannizaro keep the green light on with regards to base stealing?

Christmas eve morning I would expect Bregman to try and take third.

I think he was safe, but even if he wasn't safe it was because Wernes (sp?)blocked the bag. So here's my question: if the baseman is blocking the runner from putting his foot on the bag, in that situation can the baseman be shoved aside by runner to allow the runner to put his foot on the bag?

More importantly, why is he gonna risk getting thrown out at 3rd base to end the inning. You dont take 3rd with 2 outs unless you absolutely have it.

More importantly than that... why has he been allowed to do it 5 times?

Might have been initially.

If you watch players who incorporate the pop up side they almost always leave the bag for an instant as they go to their feet.

Shouldn't be doing this anyway. I'm so tired of seeing players go in feet first when stealing. Pop up slides are for situations where there's no throw or it's not close. Stevenson got out once this year because he went in that way. He was safe, but the throw was high and a tag was made which wouldn't have had he gotten down. I just don't get it.

I don't know how you could just switch allegiances like that. If I had a family member coach Tulane, I would cheer for them, but not against LSU.
