I'm starting to get the feeling that CLM slowly becoming Cholly Mac except with maybe a couple more wins a year ... How long - how friggin long - is it gonna take to figure out you got to have balance/variety / spreads , and some innovation or you gonna lose to 'Bama FOREVER ( and now probably Florida going forward). To win the SEC you MUST identify the teams/programs you MUST be able to beat - at least sometimes - to win the league. Saban has figured out he simply needs to recruit/scheme to beat LSU consistently, and he's taken out his main competition with only ( most years) Auburn left. Miles is making it EASY for him. ... In the near term future - I see UF Gators in the SEC Champ game being only competition for Tide ..

OP is unreadable but I do wonder.

Look at the 1973 season as a barometer.

LSU started out 9-0. Lost to Bama 21-7 and didn't win another game that year.

From '74 onwards the decline was very real. Mac's teams finished unranked every single year from '74 onward.

Mac's last two wins over Bear came in '69 and '70. In '72, #2 Bama beat #6 LSU 35-21. In '73, LSU was #7 and Bama was #2.

We have a shitton of talent but it's easy to see things starting to slip. Outside of 2011 and this year (so far), we've lost 2 or more conference games every year. That could start to become 3 or 4 every year. Still an 8 or 9 win season, right? Cholly Mac was also cranking out 7 or 8 wins in the last 70s with an 11 game schedule.

Is this deja vu all over again?

Maybe.
