Could easily see Clemson trying to run Lawrence as John Rhys Plumlee or some of the other looks that gave us issues.

Lawrence is nowhere near as fast as Plumlee.

LSU has so many options out of each formation it is impossible to know what is coming, mainly because the defense itself calls out plays. Burrow processes information at an unreal level and his receivers understand how to read the coverage and run the correct choice routes to attack whatever the defense gives them. Only perfect technique and talent can limit this offense and nobody at the college level has enough of that to continually stop LSU.

So much has been made of Lawrence playing better in the second half of the season without looking at why. They have changed their passing attack from a deep pass with Higgins and Ross versus undersized DB's to a short pass YAC scheme similar to Alabama. They cannot afford to do that with Burrow scoring on 75% of his possessions. TL will be forced to throw downfield and force the ball which will allow Stingley opportunities for Interceptions.

If they go 3 and out twice to start the game this offense will limit their ability to use Etienne in the run game and then its lights out drop the confetti.

Anyone watching them last few games understands they will not push our D line around like they did the lighter 4 man front of OSU. Our LB'S will feast with no blockers getting to the second level.

Clemson is a very talented team who deserves respect but looking at it objectively you will see where they aren't the same unstoppable force as last year.

Plumlee is very fast. Lawrence is fast enough. On his long run Saturday, Urban Meyer said TL pulled away from a defender who Meyer knew had a sub-4.5 40 time.

But similar to what was stated in the OP, Clemson ran things vs Ohio State they had not run all year. We will see that in spades.

The point here is not that TL has Plumlee's wheels. He doesn't. The point is Aranda was inexplicably slow to react to the Plumlee scheme in-game. If the same is true vs Clemson, we will gift them 3-4 TDs ... or more.

Clemson has had the luxury of running their version of a vanilla offense for most of this season. No reason to show your cards against power house teams like Wofford and Charlotte.

While I have been on Aranda for his lack of adjustment drive to drive myself I think you have to put much of that blame of players. They put themselves out of position on every one of those big runs. They bit on play fakes and over pursued taking themselves out of the play.

Since then they have had much better focus and it has shown up in a run defense we thought we had in fall.

In my mind it wasn't/isn't a matter of "blame". We won that game fairly easily. It is more a question of attribution.

I actually did attribute the Ole Miss underperformance to the players (post-Bama let-down) . . . until Aranda said a couple of weeks ago that he failed to make adjustments in the game.

Poor choice of wording on my part and he was being a good coach not throwing Delpit and Queen under the bus. Regardless of adjustment they put themselves in bad position and could have made the plays. They have since played consistently better.

On a different note kinda, I wanted to compare Clemson's pass game from early this season and last year to what they have done lately. Any site that would have those numbers broken down by attempts, yards thrown from scrimmage and YAC without having to chart them myself? I'm lazy and just looking to verify what I believe I have seen skimming through a few games.

No he wouldn’t you idiot, already underestimating lawerence ability to run

you were one of the ones that probably laughed when Plumlee said he could outrun our D
