Classic - Favorites Playing Not to Lose, Under-dogs Playing

to Win. That is what I saw. Miles and company knew that they had the better team and showed up with a conservative game plan, expecting to run over Washington. When it became apparent that Washington had athletes that could play too, the LSU's coaching staff panicked and went even more conservativly with their play calling, with flashbacks of the offensive stuggles of last year haunting them. However, it is a tribute to JJ that he was able to, for the most part, execute the pass plays, or at least not make any major mistakes. JJ at quarterback, got the ball to TT and that helped to relieve the pressure.

Still, the playcalling was horrible on both sides of the ball. I hate the calling of consecutive blitzes, the big screen pass that UW had at the beginning of the game, gave them confidence. Also, the missed tackles further made them believe that they had a chance, but once Cutrera had the pic 6 on D, most people in the stadium knew we were going to win.
