We thought we might get Lamar Jackson against one of the best defenses in the country in the Orange Bowl. Instead we get Lamar Jackson against one of the best defenses in the country in the Citrus Bowl. Louisville has lost back-to-back games to Houston and Louisville to fall to 9-3, but Jackson has still had an amazing season, and this is exactly the type of chess match we want to see in a bowl game. Promoted LSU head coach Ed Orgeron has successfully kept acclaimed defensive coordinator Dave Aranda, and Aranda will be tasked with getting pressure on Jackson and forcing miscues that proved costly in the losses. For LSU, it's an opportunity to finally get a marquee win. The Tigers are only 7-4, but their four losses have been to top-20 teams by a total of 23 points. The absence of LB Kendell Beckwith could be big, but there is hope that Leonard Fournette plays one final college game after dealing with injuries all year.
