One of those players is former Chuck Bednarik Award winner, LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu, who bench pressed 225 pounds only four times during the NFL Combine on Tuesday.

And Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer isn't impressed.

“It does concern me," said Zimmer on NFL AM, "because if he was working, obviously — I can bench four times, probably."

Cincinnati will be looking for help in the secondary, with a significant need at safety and a possible one at cornerback, depending on how free agency shakes out.

Mathieu was kicked off LSU's football team for allegedly failing multiple drug tests. He joined a rehabilitation program in September, but was arrested for marijuana possession the following month. The "Honey Badger" also reportedly ran a 4.43 40 on Tuesday.

There are plenty of reasons to worry about Tyrann Mathieu.

His bench press is not one of them.

They would know talent for sure...especially since they have won so many playoff games the past 14 years.

Since 1999, Bengals have 0 playoff wins.

Haven't they been in the playoffs the last two seasons? And Mike Zimmer is going to be a HC one day soon.

Nelisten to these people they are all jockeying for position at this point. You never now if they love a guy or hate them, if they are trying to get into other peoples heads so the player they want drops or if thu are legitimately uninterested.

I was wondering why people were laughing at a team that has been to playoffs 2 years in a row and won 19 games over 2 years....

cincy actually had a very good defense this year, so its not like zimmer doesn't know what he's doing/what he's talking about.
